An independent research forum publishing working papers on backward and minority community employment outcomes.
BAMCE Research Forum is a small, academically affiliated reading-and-writing collective. Members publish short working papers, dataset notes and reading lists drawn from the National Sample Survey, Periodic Labour Force Survey and Census micro-data on questions of community-disaggregated employment, occupational mobility and intergenerational education.
Short empirical notes (15-25 pages) on labour-force participation rates, sectoral distribution and wage gaps disaggregated by social group. Manuscripts are pre-published as PDFs; comments welcomed prior to journal submission.
Cleaned extracts and Stata/R replication scripts for published papers. Survey definitions and weighting notes attached to each release.
Monthly online reading group covering one classic paper and one recent JEP/EPW article. Drafts circulated a week ahead.
Single-day symposium each winter rotating across host campuses. Calls for participation open every July.
